I'll soon get started on his side kick. I went in on the Bones 3 Kickstarter and have so much more to do. Not sure how much effort I will put in to some but I really enjoyed this guy.
I ended up doing some commission work through my friends local shop. It was for a Heroforge miniature that I was really unsure about working with, mostly to do with the quality and texture of the models. When I finally saw the model I was impressed enough to give it a try, I was also happy with the colors and how they wanted it to look. I haven't done any work for pay in a long time, and rare for me to actually finish anything these days.
I used my phone to get the pictures but it turned out really well. More importantly the customer really liked it.

Also I managed to finish most of the Imperial Assault models, some Dungeons and Dragons, and another chunk of the Decent models. So much more to go, maybe even some more commission work.
Just about finished with the IA heroes, not my best work but I'm trying to get through all of it at a good pace. Still not sure what I am going to do with basing them.
I need to work on the eyes some more with a few of these but its getting there.
I'm having a lot of fun with the Descent lieutenant's, but hopefully I can try and get a monster group done a week, along with a hero. Bol'Goreth is an amazing model, I just need to finish the base and details like finishing the shields. Trying to decide what to do on the all of the bases, sand or just paint dungeon tile?
I've manage to paint a lot, but never seem to finish much. I have recently picked up a lot of D&D minis and made a lot of progress. I bought a box set for 40k, painted and never played. I've pretty much shelved playing that game ever again. unhappy with the company and constant editions. Hopefully I'll paint the armies and sell a lot of it off in the future. Hoping when the weather cools off I can get a lot more painting done.

I don't even know where these Dark Angel models ended up, painted them and misplaced them when I moved the desk. I'm rather overwhelmed with models and have left most of the stuff boxed up. Trucker Juddhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03594348532911907017noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7938740721202795386.post-78439476378201528162013-06-11T18:26:00.001-07:002013-06-11T18:30:19.536-07:00New start A fresh start again, in a new place to live and paint. I seem to get back into the painting and slip back out so easily. I am having a hard time deciding what to paint and sticking with it. I was going to do the new 40k box set models, but I keep thinking about all those blood angels laying in boxes. I managed to get something done anyway, I will hopefully keep going on the western characters, they are rather fun and different. Still need to get the good camera out as well.

Hoping these Black Scorpion mini's are a good start. I have a couple blood angels I may dabble with as well. I'm still on the fence with 6th edition 40k, need to start reading this book for myself.

I put a lot of it in storage, cleaned out the hobby room and pretty much took a long break.
All the while I keep thinking of all the models I want to paint and armies to finish. There is finally a new game store back on this side of the river, so that should be sign that I need to get back into it.
What better way then a new game and even more models? Yeah I probably need a twelve step program for all this. I actually picked up Flames of War because my roommate is not a gamer at all, but loves history. Mainly WW2, so why not try this game?

Turns out his step son had bought him a model for the game a while back, seems like a good sign. I am starting with a German Tank army, and an American mechanized force.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJup-hQCxUQFrYtzRXUPsDMgUzCIB61dw3cPxd5-FXmCInt5zBsoK1-45Zwl3fe68jSrbZOODsvLxC6GKqTtVdAG0c1zEQmglXN9U3RcyMM9HQlThrsh4nNPv1nzLkBfAoBe2xuAqF2DE/s320/flames.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5654649191043638498" />

I spent the day trying to assemble stuff, this stuff is difficult. May take me a while to just assemble. Ah well, I will probably get the blood angels out of storage and get them back on the table as well.Trucker Juddhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03594348532911907017noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7938740721202795386.post-15332674109657904562011-05-22T14:18:00.000-07:002011-05-22T14:42:28.904-07:00Back to itHere is a petition to GW that's been started.

http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/MAKE-GW-ANSWER-FOR-PRICING-US-OUT-OF-OUR-HOBBY/

or an address if you want to send a letter the old fashioned way.
Games Workshop
Willow Road
Lenton
Nottingham
NG7 2WS

The past few months I have been picking up sabol foam and a couple cases, trying to fit six armies all in foam at once. I tried some battlefoam, and I cant say I like the foam all that much, or the price. Seems too rough, but they cant be beat for the custom fit.

I have been trying to make more hobby time, and seem to get less the more I try. So I am just trying to small things done at the table when I can. I am still slowly working away on some more death company and chaplain but its been chore. I did break out some other models to hopefully spark my interest. I know I am not very motivated to do anything with a GW model at the moment.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhn98uQuInuxGwnWatvSUp8VtRX6-m3QwA33buQIAS7lR_QuRed7XOcU3NYBR_sqI0mM_zEuveY9c3WTM47zerh7r8Pcr8VV5vjmUmBREjPgXwROGSHwc3lX7921rgDoPRYoeQ7_eT3Sqs/s320/Picture+100.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5609654356119743522" />

I decided on the basic color for the wargame factory models, probably a traitor guard force when its all done. Picked up the newest battletech boxed set, looking forward to this game since its been so long. I still have an old version called Battledroids off this game. Picked up a couple more Malifaux and decided I need to finish the first model I started.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEij33m6gOUYSuPWSn5OicWIUoJU7WbeF3KHgAkGSi7DUvh53hdwAn7fcPou5y7UAAYn7BykNk0S1nXXwcOwM71tvZ9Fi8RQ3cwXLGxr5vRGdAAUEjzhPB-XrODNYnNIfj2reKjpBDtqKW0/s320/Picture+103.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5609654352066078962" />

I did pick up a few of the new greyknight models in the last few months, I think my old ones will do fine but the new ones are pretty nice. Turned a dread missile launcher into autocannons, and magnetized the dreadknight. I wanted him to fit in some foam without taking up the entire tray. I threw magnets on a few spots and made the weapons interchangable. Green stuffed some fingers in order to use all the weapons since the set lacked enough.

Hopefully I find more time, and actually finish some models soon.Trucker Juddhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03594348532911907017noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7938740721202795386.post-1894719456357592152011-05-17T08:40:00.000-07:002011-05-17T08:49:17.198-07:00Enough is enoughReally, another price increase? I won't be buying anything for some time, not that I can't afford it. I just think enough is enough with Games Workshop, and not just the price increases. I think everyone should email or call GW and let them know how you feel, I doubt they care but who knows with enough people.

I do have a large stock pile of unfinished work to do so I can at least keep myself immersed in the hobby and blogging for some time.Trucker Juddhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03594348532911907017noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7938740721202795386.post-5284095824345793342011-04-25T13:56:00.000-07:002011-04-25T14:11:08.588-07:00A year laterI can't believe its been a year, and it's been since January since I last posted. Things got rough for me, my divorce really set on my stress level, and my mind has not been in the hobby. I have picked up a few models and tried. I drilled straight through some weapons on a stormraven and decided I needed a break. (not a fan of the stormraven model)

I hope to get back into the blog soon, currently I am buying lots of foam. I intend to get all 7 of the armies into foam for moving and storage. I am liking the new grey knights, and picked up a few models. Hopefully I will get back into the blog real soon, I liked going back over the old posts and seeing my progress, and hope to do it some more this year.Trucker Juddhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03594348532911907017noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7938740721202795386.post-47392949693737847292011-01-20T13:31:00.000-08:002011-01-20T13:39:18.822-08:00Back on the roadJust a quick update, almost finished the 4th squad and sanguinor. I just need to get some small details and get the bases done. Primed a drop pod and baal predator, as well as some termi's which I started.

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGG_q5TEFdM5kHVJIkLSTxOp8Hq136KL9r0FQWau0rAvEc8DqlJV17pFwCKXxNdDKwkQy-DvwGRyWFK0TZgtBSNrWbE4QDOwAJJNUNXDVoket0wQA2i-ruxclRfJ9p85Aes6rkkLg3HJY/s400/Picture+098.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5564384754174744354" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOlc36Ba0kCsWS1vJoSSR0hHbztnzbpe5AaTuNCTgSChyphenhyphenXfnBQyVgVhJf2_cyZglZ4X5qNcbgQm1tmTcfYNMdZBn5Kq0wfoQp1BhFiFpoxiEkTzXPrum0larSsE2C0toE48MGyM4TOIm0/s400/Picture+099.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5564384745406926290" />

I also have renewed my interest in Dark Heresy, and decided to paint up some characters for that. I may do some posts on the game, if it goes well. We are usually hit or miss, and have failed at campaigns for some time now. My cameras battery died, will hopefully have better pics next week.Trucker Juddhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03594348532911907017noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7938740721202795386.post-29198485456913939322011-01-16T14:05:00.000-08:002011-01-16T14:23:54.121-08:00Low FuelSo somehow I survived the holidays, yet my hobby was all but slowed to a crawl thanks to distractions from family, a divorce, an escape artist of a dog, and video games sales. I did manage to make progress on a 5 man assault squad, and finishing some magnet work on termi arms and another cyclone launcher. I forgot I bought an imperial guard blister 2 weeks ago at work, hard to find a game store with room to park a semi truck but I manage. Its been sitting in my brief case all this time, I think this tells me where my head is currently and its not on the hobby.

I hope to renew my interest and get going with the new year. I plan to finish up some more blood angels by April. Just in time for Grey Knights, maybe I will dust them off and put them back on the shelf, they definitely need a face lift. I guess I'll wait and see what changes they will bring. If I don't go back to Grey Knights I intend to get the guard back on the paint table. They have always been my favorite, and have been neglected most of last year.

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWITlavV2vsAH3FOAKcp7AVdyVljUQXzZhm2eIv4pj9bgExgNV8nSRc0c8FLce9-5If1FCBkv2zhyphenhyphen1ZPZGUiRg5XGTltyvNQvHyJcfxo9GGwf0LZ8c6GtJyfOXDZIPnGMm-EGfQGJXE8U/s400/Picture.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5562908990708493074" />

Anyway it was a good year last year, I think the blog helped me get a lot of things done and to a better quality, nothing spectacular but I like to think above average.
I hope to at least post twice a month, just simple posts of my progress, or anything else I find on my mind.Trucker Juddhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03594348532911907017noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7938740721202795386.post-28671499309123112422010-12-22T10:07:00.000-08:002010-12-22T10:40:50.704-08:00Assembly required<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGE6zXCPUaz3MwyfFYO1QqascxaPm3fu8DHyR6B1lc0CHDx_vgOGBgJp9aKPrayR81A_UrAl7a52bLCmbjLINGOa1UUdoSDAuVe3H9TqPblVQcBwN9cZwY6Y8FtN3z3w5qRbjLT1KFoO8/s400/Picture+081.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5553570028694183154" />

So it's been less painting and more fun with glue this month. I put aside the death company to assemble some troops. I think I am still dulled to death of painting black after all those red scorpions, so much I even started painting them more grey then black. As I assembled, I finished off purchasing more then enough for a 2k army. Decided to pick up some special characters, a baal predator, five more termi's, and make a furioso dreadnought.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJFiKM0C6IO1F0_gA6j6zNr8rnhmhWN0R_Vf2e4i3yi2VUExUdlVKT2FEuCX8jI3uz58fAu5jWYffypvUhgQujh0-OjeFwjmTiGIXM6I979Ci7PTFO1v11URa9AHmJ-GteK-kgwCs2DM4/s400/Picture+082.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5553576189349988066" />

I magnetized all the jump packs, the second sanguinary guard/honor guard, the dread arms, the termi close combat arms, and completely magnetized the baal predator for all options.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNp5LfC_Qy_YHeTNUUYhQMnXSN5tdfPfqQ5YGl5En1jHU1MZ08ULsiLaSLlED-m9_EUsd2aJLqNPFT1cUfQcKdyD6EOQROwci3NCiYnshWGXmfQ46C7xfiNzetBWv9gZBV0ngNLoN8gqw/s400/Picture+084.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5553576182843801794" />

So after looking at my crippled Dante, and the new one GW sent me, I decided his axe was rather dull. So I took a doubled bladed axe from the sanguinary guard and it fit in a more epic fashion.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgvedCyqB7XD6ZGohkJVat0dkmzSFINk6LXIj2bOkU5ePjTquDjTCJRL-5Y21jtNNBjfhcFw_5mc41R24jhXhbR8oqW4XDuCIofs6zuUrr3XpIz0rSrUVCURk1rkguF344DBeojpCFA4s/s400/Picture+085.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5553576886734516690" />
Figured if my opponent is going to run some special characters, I may as well throw some in.

So looks like I have half of next years painting ready to go. We ran 1500 points, with the SW using my Red Scorpions. I wont go into a detailed battle report, I'll just give some highlights.

Our forces were very similar:
He ran Njal with wolf guard in termi armor, ven dread in a drop pod, 2 grey hunter packs in rhinos, long fangs, vindicator, and some wolf scouts.

I had a librarian with termi's and a sanguinary priest, dread in a drop pod, 2 assault squads in razorbacks with priests, devastator squad, and vanguard veterans with jump packs.

We fought corner to corner, each defending our objectives. With the blood Angels winning first turn, I was hoping to do well. Yet, with my usual dice rolling, It was less then stellar.
My termi's and vanguard remained in reserve, for the ENTIRE game. Even with decent of angels I still managed to roll nothing but a 1 for my vet's. Not sure how much it would have helped to show up sooner. I had better results from my razorbacks with the lascannons over the assault. The drop pod dread with a melta was another fail, but was a game winner by blocking his entire force. This caused his force to have to take a longer way around, allowing my force a few rounds of shooting.

Njal is a beast, he removed the librarian with ease. I only managed to kill him off when he was separated from his unit and could single him out with enough shots. I think once my opponent starts to build a bigger and better force, better use of initial deployment, good target priority, and a better grasp of the rules I will be struggling against these wolves. He did have the worst table corner, and his long fangs and force really had its work cut out for them.

Model and Paint update:
I did a lot of assembling the last week and a half, and a little painting. I quickly finished the devastator squad, started the sanguinary guard, and rolled through some Black reach terminators quickly.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7gOeGzrExqquXyxgM3iJKybELlLIzjFs6xq2DMX2FyYye-N0qdDRFtS-pas-sCpDoobrA4zG2ugJNmKK69rVcMdB3T7C5UIF7dXjKkMZrunuMmhk52y67zS2iKFLS3IoZ8ujL9YQtpXg/s400/Picture+071.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5543380450156512594" />
I used the sergeant model for the Sanguinary Priest, I ended up trying all sorts of bits from an ork rokkit to finally half a melta grenade as a cup.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCqtRPpLLZOzj2BEexCyreMR8gPSGi6CTFG8rbWs3d87g39751cNtc6vcnPh-tvrym2muTlXcLBQLlSIeS0zMr9G7Tzn6bKvWTuFWu-04x8BGUVfVCQdBeSeVmu043FeAxRleLXXskLfU/s400/Picture+068.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5543380441641648386" />

Put together a rhino for my death company , and looking forward to starting the accompanying unit soon, I still think the Vanguard are the way to go. I struggled through the third squad, and I am feeling refreshed and ready to finish off the rest of my 1k force. Pretty much a devastator squad, and an HQ unit of some sort, as you can guess I am not one to really have a concrete list. I love to change it up and try different units, why I am such a magnet junky I suppose.
I really am not aiming for that killer list for my 1k level. I plan on playing it against a new Space Wolf player so I don't really want to ruin his day. Still it's a pretty solid list, I'm not sold on the power weapons on the priests just yet.
I still need to paint up squad logo's and markings, I dont know if I am a fan of those yellow helmets either.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSIQ_i757oSYelJF_yYR0K50SGaY67sVL2-_UyrI-wr3QRUQuA7z0YmGERokTor40fqM8zeb5x1QAYJNaB_dLoYwy-VLiRmH-dBQ_EBZvYs8Cwc_ii39feB5Wuz3XaGjYgXkMLs00MNrY/s400/3+squads.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5538022865106111634" />

Its the 2k level I am looking forward to, a larger jump pack unit, some death company or veteran units, and some rather expensive sanguine guard. These models are amazing, I plan on picking up another box just for the bits alone. I magnetized the heads, and the extra heads to use for veterans.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiccFxpPYzgalTaBvnEzwuSBVjolDfm4iNezgBuVwUvLokOBnLNWgzE9WDf5cO8xSWqegNDjrQAw6LYWjEI8hN7trjpkL5r8SpwMr8p34qEb5iVeX2WX27fJAmgcD_nPFKSyBRpK9pDb_k/s400/Picture+067.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5538022861928502834" />
Everything else is purchased and slowly being built in between painting.
I did rummage through my old bits and found some old school blood angels, the captain, a dreadnought, an old metal squad, and the old smaller terminators. I amaze myself what I have hidden away, still wish I could find those old school orks.Trucker Juddhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03594348532911907017noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7938740721202795386.post-13801039315949037262010-10-27T12:14:00.000-07:002010-10-27T12:42:28.253-07:00Low gear againSeems like my hobby time is getting slim these days but I still seem to be making progress. May have to do with the time of year, works busy, more then usual drama around the house, and one of my days off is taken up with a new gaming group. I will be running a Dark Heresy game with them soon, so that should be fun. Breaking them in with some call of cthulhu games has been like old times, still hard for me to get back into the rpg thing. If anything can make it interesting for me it will be the 40k fluff.

I have been slowly gluing and magnetizing the death company models in between stages. I still haven't planned out my 2k list, but I am sure I will run them as veterans of some sort.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg27UqbWzVQCHi714B5_-NjTFh3xGzD6Fz1BKPFf_f3cRDuNdwsX3AhSykbMkDkC34BPGMH8JhjZR5Kn0-wZXQEdaqtkz33UQty545z_v98zjSqXIprcG720Wy_YDe3MuFsvqo7pj5V4Bc/s400/mago.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5532807515957731602" />
I started working on the third squad with a razorback, hopefully I can get through them by the end of next week.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZGkFaJQlwNZjBfv5ZTc9nqjQQFeV4MgrMwyKfPt9ZBHN_Vi8eNQL6B-fk4QMFaKIRGWEW5-uDrHrAXbmc_6QyNb2MEY_frC3ZJChEWgVC-yO-yJnsjM4-gVkLnzEattpXrSIiFqgqnHo/s400/sqd3.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5532807155665285986" />
I still want to do some more detail work on the first 2 squads razorbacks, and any other touch ups on the squads.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNRpHTDABASlDhgl1v7Sl1dnKBfZs1EI5eRvp2VOxGLdSZnHgmZdym-jrq3vggMRWs0o1HCNObEo0a-aAXf4DMyOYVJnzSZ3AKZ2L0DDklsRkl-OdDJbF7NV8x74zljaqKuebcUOCNtxs/s400/sqds.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5532807139684934978" />

Once I get the 1k army up to tabletop quality I hope to go back and improve the work. Just wanted to post and get the word out, even if its only a couple views. These guys had a great run, and put in a lot of hard work and I hope they continue with much success.

Links on the top right of my blog.Trucker Juddhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03594348532911907017noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7938740721202795386.post-69614355111227524842010-10-17T09:48:00.000-07:002010-10-17T10:03:26.488-07:00Still not tired of red.So I started the second squad, and had to build the razorback from scratch this time. I decided to share this one with chaos and my red scorpions with a rhino hatch. If I use chaos in smaller points, my berserkers are going to need a smaller vehicle. I managed to magnetize the symbol on the front, so I can switch out the BA symbol with a chaos or Scorpions. I'll get some pics of this on a later date.
The assault cannons are borrowed from a very old Inquisitor land raider I made, the cannons are actually old metal eldar.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQT3W_0wlXDAO1W3RTA_XTdnK3f_xDzTQQEGavRGDxqsLCiuYjHADC-fXcLfJ1VcNqLyK3m0HZP8prEb0C8sE8pXgueGuhDiUDLUXvFB_8xXwbio45nv67ULR6QughMeLM0vCph08pzI4/s400/Picture+042.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5529058371901249586" />
As for the squad I took another metal veteran and magnetized the arm, all the backpacks, and the special weapon. Explains why a backpack is off below, also the entire Priest is magnetized from the metal arm, back, and head.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiH1j7J7PsBWG3kjqo5G3V5AwvNPe0MnMBU5PfENysvJoMcZNRsCbT8SpM3__XDE_46YnZ8buLe9R55ZVgnts5xFa9IQslju_ZirN2PF3z6rBXb2u85TrpW0NmDYKi5tFhCa6vnvxcoP4M/s400/Picture+047.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5529058364371032994" />

I also started the third squad sergeant, with another magnet arm. I have done a lot more magnet work then I thought I would. I still have 2 boxes of death company models I haven't worked on yet. I may use them as veterans, either type with enough magnets since the death company look so expensive. Still, I like the idea behind the company I may use them in a large force. I still have a few units to go for my 1k mark, I may try a vindicator with the magnet symbols so i can switch it out in different armies.Trucker Juddhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03594348532911907017noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7938740721202795386.post-9313552799152779992010-10-06T13:41:00.000-07:002010-10-17T10:04:29.377-07:00Falling into redIt's been a nice change of pace painting red, I'm sure in another month I will be sick of it. Almost finished with the first assault squad and their razorback, just need to finish the bases and details on the razorback.
Also Did a lot of assembly work and magnetizing, still trying to save a buck and match colors with my Red Scorpions. It worked on the razorback, and some arms painted in neutral back and red.
Two more squads and razorbacks to go, then a devastator squad. I still need to pick an HQ unit, maybe if I can find/make a librarian in power armor I like.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjm_33-lpCIN6PFcMmhJMGJXFRlVGjR5ZX-NDALrzcTbr_ZMv7mA8iHw-z7OzEmZy_IKJVDl0EPQZ27HPcKgMwLhHm9-NWbxGeQZz4l4QFfrMslLftZcEj1w0gccHMssCGzl5pw0TTzLkQ/s400/Picture+041.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5525037011142245522" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHJgYQlfzFMz2w77MUikW0boXkPpAQJJ5NweIig71vUwOk6EvohWmfa-DGPtPChxVSO-d-6CamEUXqRGVyDikGopV3Qiox0Bx8iQRLRh2bHAgnZFOQ6Sm_PYgxBjO5JaKZ0I2nA-6I8Iw/s400/Picture+040.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5525037007087278066" />

There goes another month my poor guard are neglected.Trucker Juddhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03594348532911907017noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7938740721202795386.post-37916702424594816952010-09-28T00:03:00.000-07:002010-09-28T00:26:54.230-07:00Slow weekFinally got my order from the Wargames Factory, and I have to admit I am impressed with their work for the price. its obvious to see how some of the kits have improved over time. The zombies are lacking detail, some of the vikings are great and some pieces still seem off. The shocktroops aren't bad, I would definitely use them if I was starting a guard army on the cheap side.
Threw a dusty guardsmen up to see how they compare.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgD6ieMERQTEWiBk1Ven9-FAtE8oiras3Wgyx6j76uBgN6szfet0Fj3vJDxYc2mbrmbbIyIWwHgI102lXyMGt6-irDz_0kXZ2ft0GCbMubreiOoKtnxZ32MVizRAohKDRkTIKr5Uz_1Xp4/s400/Picture+038.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5521857522857242882" />

Here's about 109 bucks worth of Wargames Factory plastic, I may have to stack up some GW sprues next week and compare.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh09c9dcF1K9eId9E_1IM_tBX1euSSmx93Al2Lil0dtowjStE1xZb8iqGSchw4R6Wv8nq3xivbBsQOhxjZbA0rplairP51NIPn26s8PEvLOgur1Kqhq1_n2IyO_RyEX-QXCZcCPGFLacXc/s400/Picture+028.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5521857516411375458" />
Last Saturday I had a fun game with a newbie friend at a store on the west side, whenever I play at a local shop I feel compelled to make a purchase and support the store. So why not start army number seven with some Blood Angels? I intend to use a lot of old school models I have laying around to finish this force off. Going to do minimal magnet work, mostly on the backpacks and jump packs.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTqDpXXicZelRcfubtgvV0q-G_Dw3aS8mK6TelaFlGyOFEa-5TwLgg5N5wVgVSzVcp_Z0oRg1w3IcgA231bkabqSarvMAjh7a7lnt8sVCu0Lridz5UqKQtODn2Di75vC2AijK-WUHaCn8/s400/Picture+036.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5521857527353259570" />
Almost done with the first test model, had some issues getting a red scheme I liked. Still poking along on the ogryn, and did some base colors on the scout bikers.Trucker Juddhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03594348532911907017noreply@blogger.com0
